A German internet retailer based in Kiel is being forced by court authorities to place a warning on its website about the dangers of purchasing glasses with progressive lenses online because of the parameters needed to be taken into account for proper fitting. ZVA, the German opticians' federation, reported that the federal German court in Karlsruhe ruled on Nov. 5 against the internet retailer's request to review a decision made in the case by the Schleswig state court in September 2014. ZVA is recommending to all internet retailers to put a similar warning on their website by the end of this year.
