A Specsavers ad that ran last year featuring Edith Piaf singing «Je Ne Regrette Rien» resulted in 123 complaints to Britain's Advertising Standards Authority, making it the ninth-most-complained about commercial for 2008. The ASA did not investigate, saying the spot probably wouldn't cause widespread offense. Many of those who filed complaints said it was derogatory to Piaf's memory. The ad was run with the permission from the guardians of the late singer's estate.
