Acep has introduced Smart Media, a dynamic shop window equipped with a 32-inch display, a camera and algorithms. According to reports by Acuité, Smart Media uses artificial intelligence to detect in a matter of seconds the sex, approximate age and distance of the customer. Based on the collected data, the device broadcasts a suitable advertisement. The optician can pre-select the ads from 100 available videos on lenses, glasses, visual health and other subjects. Smart Media was officially presented at Silmo 2018 in Paris. It will be reportedly available at a monthly rate of around €150.
