After closing its doors on Nov. 22 last year, there is a chance that Italy's Vecellio Occhiali may be back in business. The news came at the end of December from the unions and the company's liquidator, as a company producing metal frames is apparently interested in taking over Vecellio's activity. The idea would be to add acetate to the company's own activity, using Vecellio's know-how and expertise. If the plan goes ahead, the interested party would take on 10 of Vecellio's 30-strong workforce; but one month after the initial announcement, the name of the company has still not been disclosed, leaving doubts as to whether the idea will actually become reality.
