After the fifth China-US-EU Consumer Product Safety Trilateral Summit, which took place in Beijing on June 22, officials from the three sides said in a statement that regulators agreed to step up cooperation in the safety supervision on online sales, especially in cross-border e-commerce, in line with their respective legal frameworks. The three sides agreed on intensified collaboration in areas such as the recall of hazardous products, to ensure consumers in the three regions have access to safe products. Participants also pledged to increase communication and share information in these areas.
