After Zeiss and the Essilor group, Rodenstock has launched its own line of patented lenses that protect the eye from glare while driving in the dark. The new Rodenstock Road lenses also provide a better perspective of the road, even when visibility is compromised by glare, rain or fog. Their optimally overlapping visual zones for the right and left eye support spatial vision, simplifying the estimation of distances, which can be particularly useful in parking or when driving past objects. A special coating ensures high-contrast vision. The lenses use Rodenstock's DNEye technology, which diminishes aberrations. The lenses can also be used as everyday spectacles. They will become available on Feb. 1 in single-vision and progressive formats.
