Alain Afflelou, 62, has decided to leave the position of president of the French-based optical retail group that bears his own name. Grégoire Champetier, a 46-year-old manager who has been taking care of McDonald's, is due to take over his place, but Afflelou will continue to be involved as chairman of a new supervisory board. The change follows the gradual takeover of the group by Bridgepoint Capital, which now owns 54.6 percent of the shares.
