Alain Afflelou posted sales of €190.7 million in the first quarter of its 2018/19 fiscal year, from August to October 2018, representing a 6.7 percent increase compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year. On a same-store basis, the sales increase was of 5.9 percent. The French optical retail chain operated 1,462 stores globally as of Oct. 31, 2018, 30 more than on Oct. 31, 2017.
