Alcon appointed Timothy C. Stonesifer as its new senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective on April 9. Stonesifer succeeds David Murray, who decided to remain with Novartis and return to Europe. At their annual general meeting, the shareholders of Novartis approved the separation of the Alcon eye care division. Stonesifer previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Hewlett Packard Enterprises, where he executed two spin merge transactions and completed 11 acquisitions.
