Allergan has appointed a president, Douglas S. Ingram, filling a new role where he will report directly to the company's chairman and chief executive, David E.I. Pyott. He will be particularly in charge of Allergan's commercial operations on a global basis. Ingram has more than 25 years experience and he has been with Allergan since 1996, when he started off as senior attorney and chief litigation officer. In the last three years, he served as executive vice president and president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, running the company's pharmaceutical and medical device operations in the region. He previously occupied many important posts in the company.
