Allison has recently announced plans to move its headquarters from Padua around 120 kilometers away to Volta Mantovana, where it owns an empty factory. The transfer is scheduled for mid-December this year. The current facility in Padua is home to 120 employees, who have been asked to indicate whether they want to relocate to the new facility by August 25. Allison has an annual turnover of around €35 million and markets eyewear under famous fashion labels including Benetton, Iceberg, Moncler, Moschino, Missoni and Sisley. The company cut 39 jobs in September 2013. In April this year, after the announcement that more restructuring was needed, its 120 employees had agreed on a solidarity contract.
