Anfao, the Italian eyewear industry association, has been screening the U.S. market with the help of Ice, the Italian export promotion agency, in view of new development opportunities. Last year, the agency helped Anfao to organize collective exhibitions for small and medium-sized member companies for their expansion in other parts of the world. Targeting the Latin American market, a relatively successful event was held in Miami, grouping 40 Italian firms and about 100 buyers from the region.
