Antonio Bortuzzo is making his comeback to the eyewear industry as head of the Americas for Kering Eyewear, the new company that will take care sooner or later of the eyewear lines of all the brands owned by the Kering group, including Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Brioni, Christopher Kane, Stella McCartney, Boucheron, Cobra, Puma, Volcom, Electric and Tretorn. Bortuzzo is well known in the sector as a former general manager or chief executive of Marcolin, Allison, Alain Mikli and Viva International. He left Viva after its merger with Marcolin. At Kering, he will be based in New York, reporting to Massimo Renon, global sales director of Kering Eyewear, and to Roberto Vedovotto, former CEO of Safilo, who has been running Kering's new project since November 2013.
