Bausch & Lomb has made a wave of executive appointments. It has hired Stuart Heap, a former CIBA Vision executive, as corporate vice president and global president for vision care. Heap worked for CIBA Vision for 20 years, rising through the ranks to become a group vice president and then president of CIBA's global contact lens division. After leaving CIBA in 2002, he became chief executive officer of Regent Medical and SSL-Americas, manufacturers of health care products. J. Andy Corley, the co-founder of Eyeonics, which Bausch & Lomb acquired earlier this year, is the new corporate vice president and global president for surgical products. Besides co-founding Eyeonics, which developed the Crystalens intraocular lens, Corley has held positions at American Medical Optics and Allergan Pharmaceuticals. Furthermore, Michael Gowen has joined Bausch & Lomb as corporate vice president and executive vice president for global business operations and ?process excellence.? He is a former vice president for global operations and supply chain for the Johnson & Johnson group of consumer companies and also held those responsibilities at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care from 2002 to 2004.
