Black and Lizars has announced profits of £252,187 (€324,750-$367,512) for the financial year ending September 2015. This announcement follows the recent appointment of Michelle Le Provost as managing director, in March. The company posted a 3 percent increase in turnover in that period, bringing the total turnover to £14.3 million (€18.4m-$20.8m). Last year the Scottish multiple invested £500,000 (€643,784-$728,639) on its Edinburgh flagship store with the addition of ultra-wide scanners, called Optomaps, and the latest audiology equipment. The Glasgow-based company, which owns 23 practices in Scotland and one in Belfast, said it is planning to expand into key geographical locations throughout Scotland and England, if the right opportunities arise.
