Black & Lizars is introducing a new loyalty card which is said to give patients an upgraded level of eye care. The Black Card, which will be initially available only in the company's Giffnock and Milngavie practices, will provide a comprehensive program of benefits as well as exclusive access to the services of the company's principal optometrist, Colin Black. Cardholders can benefit from the extent of clinical examinations, the frequency of examinations and product prices, and they do not pay any extra charges for advanced imaging techniques. The new card has already been taken up by 300 patients. The company hope that the Black Card's successful uptake in two of its suburban Glasgow practices will lead, in due time, to its roll-out throughout the country.
