Bollé is going to come out with a full-fledged line of ophthalmic frames for a global launch at the MIDO fair in Milan next May. Meanwhile, the parent company, Bushnell Performance Optics, is in discussions for the opening of a Spanish sales subsidiary to represent all its brands, including Bushnell and Serengeti, as is already the case in other large markets like France, Italy and Germany. The American group is also on the lookout for new acquisitions, particularly in the outdoor sector, where Bushnell's night vision technology is generating strong sales. The Serengeti brand enjoyed a sales increase of about 28 percent this year in Europe, thanks in particular to the younger and lighter styles of its PolarMax line of polarized sunglasses, which now represent some 12 percent of its turnover. The more mature Bollé brand had a sales increase of about 2 percent.
