CIBA Vision has received the Unisys & Management Today Service Excellence Award, to top prize in the UK for customer care, followed by DHL and Ceridian Centrefile in a contest among more than 900 firms. The sponsor, Unisys, cited in particular CIBA Vision's so-called ?Customer Journey,? a 2-year-old initiative involving mystery shopping visits to over 1,200 optical practices throughout the country to judge them in more than 85 different categories, with the benchmarking results fed back to them to help improve their performance.
