ClearVision Optical and Steve Madden, the U.S. brand of footwear and accessories, have signed a global multi-year licensing agreement for eyewear and sunglasses. ClearVision is taking over the license from Color & Optics at a time when Madden is working with new partners in Europe as part of an ambitious internationalization program. ClearVision will officially launch the first Madden collection in January 2017. The development process for the new product line utilizes ClearVision's 3D printing capabilities for prototyping and creating new textures and combinations. The 51-piece collection comprises styles for men, women and children, including 42 styles in optical and nine sunwear styles. Signature components of the Madden collection include elements of color contrast and temple tips inspired by ballerina flats and zipper hardware. In tune with the business model adopted by the footwear brand, which has many mono-brand stores, Steve Madden Eyewear will release new models several times a year in accordance with style and market developments.
