Confirming an earlier report of ours, Allison has formally announced the signing of a 5-year licensing agreement with Alfred Dunhill for the design, production and distribution of prescription and sun eyewear, starting with 25 models that will be showcased at the next MIDO fair from Fall/Winter 2005. The license was previously in the hands of Airess, the French company that was liquidated earlier this year. Today, Dunhill has a vast collection of luxury products including leather accessories, jewelry, watches, men's clothing, pens, lighters and luxury gifts. The English brand is sold through a global network of 160 outlets and 1,500 authorized dealers in 50 countries. From 1907 the brand's flagship store has been at n 48 Jermyn Street in the heart of Westminster in the British capital. Allison aims to consolidate its international position thanks to Dunhill's strong presence in Europe, Asia and the USA.
