De Rigo has signed a two-year dual branding agreement with the Disney group for its home brands Lozza and String. Sting will launch a collection of prescription frames co-branded with the Jonas Brothers, a pop band broadcast for teenagers on the Disney Channel network. Meanwhile, Lozza will issue models featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Both the Jonas and Mickey collections will be unisex, but within the Mickey range there will be some models more targeted toward boys, bearing the Mickey logo, and frames designed for girls carrying the Minnie logo. The collections will be presented to clients from this week and will be available in the stores from mid-May. The collections will initially be distributed in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey and Croatia. The Lozza/Mickey and Minnie collectionw targets children from pre-school to 10 years old and the Sting/Jonas range children from 8 to 14. De Rigo said its sales target is «ambitious,» without elaborating. The Italian group did not rule out further co-branding deals, but not in the short run.
