De Rigo Vision has appointed Iraj Kamili to general manager of De Rigo Vision USA. The company said the appointment of a new general manager for the U.S., combined with a reorganization plan, is part of the group's intention to strengthen its presence in the country and accelerate the growth process of the group's brands in the U.S. market. Kamili brings extensive management experience of international companies, including a previous role in the eyewear industry with Alain Mikli. In his new position, he will supervise and develop the business of De Rigo Vision in the North American market, with responsibilities including the coordination and optimization of all operational strategies and activities. De Rigo's wholesale network covers about 80 countries, mainly in Europe, Asia and America, through 13 companies and more than 100 independent distributors. The group's portfolio includes its own brands Police, Lozza and Sting, as well as the licensed brands Blumarine, Carolina Herrera, Chopard, Escada, Furla, Givenchy, Lanvin, Loewe, Tous and Zadig & Voltaire, and a range of group-owned retail chains, including General Optica in Spain, Mais Optica in Portugal, Opmar Optik in Turkey, as well as working with Boots Opticians in the U.K. and Sewon in Korea.
