De Rigo Vision has drawn up a new employment contract for its staff with a ?family friendly? ring to it for 2010-13. Compared with the minimum required by Italian law, it has doubled from 16 to 32 the number of overtime hours an employee can cumulate in an «hour bank» to be used according to the individual's requirements for special leave for family needs. This now makes it possible for fathers to take paid leave for the birth of a child. It also gives employees the chance to take two weeks of unpaid leave to accompany children when they start primary school. The company bonus will be based on two indexes: the operating profits of De Rigo and the group's productivity based on the surplus number of actual hours worked, compared with the statutory numbers. A new workers' committee will be set up to resolve issues, while an existing committee for part-time work will remain in place.
