De Rigo Vision, the eyewear firm based in Longarone, in Italy's northeast, is introducing a new company program for its staff, called Welfare and Work-Life Balance. The program, which has been designed in consultation with the unions, features a series of initiatives to provide an improved quality of life for the group's employees. The first project in the series will be devoted to women aged 40-50, who will benefit from breast cancer screening in the workplace and during work hours for free. The company is also implementing an advanced digitalization program, which includes in-house IT training sessions for 170 members of the staff, both men and women, as well as the installation of eight digital workstations, or “totems,” at the company's facility, which enable the personnel to access their own documents online, including their salary slips and information about their welfare benefits, among other things.
