Design Gallery, the luxury division of Match Eyewear, has announced the acquisition of the Kata eyewear brand, which includes its associated patents such as Kata's M1 and Reverse hinge technology, from B. Robinson. The Kata brand will join the Design Gallery Division of Match Eyewear and its current brands, Vanni Occhiali and Judith Leiber Couture. The relaunch of Kata Eyewear will take place in 2017 for the U.S., Canadian and European markets, followed by its launch worldwide. The initial 2017 release will feature men's eyewear in both ophthalmic and sunwear.
