Essilor International has announced that Lena Henry has joined the company as chief strategy officer, effective last May. A member of the executive committee, she reports to Hubert Sagnières, the company's chairman and chief executive. Henry will focus in particular on the the identification of new opportunities for development, as well as on strategic planning and execution. She was previously a partner at McKinsey & Company in London, where she focused on serving retail and consumer goods clients. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, with a Master's degree in Structural Engineering, and of the Ecole Centrale de Paris, where she obtained a BA in Engineering in 1998.
