Essilor Sun Solution, the Essilor Group's division dedicated to sun lenses, has presented a new “No Ordinary” story called “6,000 km for Microfinance.” The stars are Anne and Marie-Eve, two French students who spent six months of their gap year on a cycling trek through South America, from Colombia to Argentina. Along the way, they met with a number of entrepreneurs and microfinance institutions to promote micro-credit, a form of lending that does away with certain formalities and guarantees while also providing business training to loan recipients, the goal being to alleviate poverty by stimulating small-business creation. The trip has been chronicled on Essilor Sun Solution's website, YouTube channel and LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook pages. The Sun Solution brand came to be in 2014 with the merger of BNL Eurolens and Intercast Europe and their annexation to the Essilor Group.
