As Vision Monday reports, the Essilor Group’s new chief executive, Paul du Saillant, has revamped the company’s management for North America, with an eye towards the post-pandemic recovery. Rick Gadd is switching from president of Essilor of America (EOA) to group president for North America, with oversight of the lens and lab business in the U.S. and Canada. He has also gained a seat on the management committee for Essilor’s integration with Luxottica. Gadd reports to du Saillant, while the president of Essilor Canada, Christophe Perreault, reports to Gadd. John Carrier, chief operating officer of Essilor International and former president of EOA, will be stepping down after 30 years with the company. Over the next few months he will be serving as an advisor. Gadd has already made changes at Essilor North America. Jessica Kozak has been promoted to senior vice president of sales for the independent ECP (eyecare professionals) channel. James Gilchrist, senior vice president of strategic alliances & solutions, will now be overseeing alliances and the dispensary management business in addition to managed care and doctor alliance partnerships. Sherianne James has been promoted to chief marketing officer and senior vice president of customer engagement. Larry Clarke, president of distributor channels, will now be overseeing national accounts and all large accounts in the commercial network.
