Marcolin has appointed Fabrizio Curci as its new chief executive and general manager, effective June 22. He replaces Massimo Renon, who left the company on April 14 to join the Benetton Group, the Italian apparel company, as CEO.
Curci was previously CEO and general manager of Milan’s exhibition hall operator Fiera Milano, from September 2017 to June 2020. Fiera Milano manages the fairgrounds at Rho, just outside Milan, where the eyewear show Mido is held.
He has held various executive roles, especially in the automotive sector. Curci started his career at Olivetti Tecnost and FIAMM and then joined Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in 2007, where he worked for ten years becoming head of the Alfa Romeo brand for the EMEA region and head of Alfa Romeo Global Launch.
He holds a degree in economics from Bocconi University and attended the Managerial Development Programme at SDA School of Management.
