Exercising an option, BasicNet has agreed to acquire the Briko brand of sports eyewear and apparel, which it has been licensing and distributing since March 2016. Depending on its performance, it will pay up to €4 million for the brand, starting with a lump sum of €1 million, to the family of Carlo Boroli, which took over the brand a few years ago. BasicNet will apply its special business model to Briko as it has done with other brands in its portfolio like Kappa, Superga and K-Way. Boroli will continue to serve as Briko's brand manager.
