Federopticos, which claims to be the second-largest cooperative of independent opticians in Spain, with a market share of 4.5 percent, has received an award from the local community of opticians in Valencia for a TV advertising campaign carrying the “Respect your eyes” tagline. Created in 1989, Federopticos had 208 members with 249 stores all over Spain at last count. It has reported revenues of €89 million for 2009.
