A research project carried out by Allenbach shows that the number of people wearing glasses in Germany has increased to 41.1 million in the past five years. The number of people who wear glasses increased by 4 percent for those aged 20 to 29 and by 6 percent for those aged 30 to 44. The study was commissioned by the Kuratorium für Gutes Sehen (KGS) in Berlin. The percentage of the German population wearing glasses increased from 62 percent in 2000 to 67 percent in 2020. The number of people wearing special computer glasses increased from 4 percent in 2002 to 13 percent in 2020.
