Foster Grant has celebrated its 80th anniversary with an auction for a limited edition of sunglasses signed by Hollywood celebrities such as Raquel Welch, a long-time testimonial of the company, and other film stars such as Susan Sarandon, Zac Efron and Dakota Fanning. The auction raised more than $1,000, which were donated to two charities that help underprivileged Americans. One of the two, Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services Organization, is personally supported by Raquel Welch. The other one is called The Hoop-A-Paluza Foundation. Foster Grant said it will continue to offer its limited-edition collection on its own website, donating $25 for each pair sold to the two charities.
