Free Optik, an Italian buying group with over 200 member opticians, has a new chairman. Sandro Kichelmacher, who founded the group 18 years ago, is retiring after 60 years in the optical business. On April 3, the group's annual general meeting approved the nomination of his 45-year-old son, Marco Kichelmacher.
