Gerber Coburn has appointed Clement Patry as its president while John Hancock, its current president, will assume the presidency of Gerber Technology, another subsidiary of the group that provides integrated hardware and software automation solutions to the apparel and flexible materials industry. Patry also will serve as a vice-president to Gerber Scientific, the parent company. Patry has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, and is currently executive director of sales at Gerber Coburn. In his new role, he will be responsible for all non-US markets (Europe, Asia, South America and Canada). Wayne Labrecque, who has been named executive director of the company's new sales team, will handle US markets. Labrecque, who has been vice-president of key accounts and services at Gerber Coburn, will report to Patry. Before joining Gerber Coburn, Patry was chief executive officer and president of Haag-Streit Holding US in Cincinnati, and also held executive roles in Essilor. Hancock joined Coburn Optical in 1994 as vice-president of sales and marketing, and became president of Gerber Coburn following Coburn's acquisition by Gerber Optical. Gerber Coburn will presented its ?Performance Series? equipment at the recent Optical Laboratory Association trade fair in Nashville, Tennessee. The series comprises a complete line of surfacing through to finishing for lens fabrication and manipulation for big motors and is targeted at the wholesale market.
