Gigi Barcelona, the Spanish eyewear brand founded by Patricia Ramo in 2014, shared some figures at the Silmo show in Paris last month. Currently, it works with 30 sales agents across Europe, has 2,500 customers worldwide and works with 12 distributors internationally. Most recently, it signed a distribution contract with Oh Sole Mio for the Argentinian market. The brand's optical collection accounts for 43 percent of sales, while Gigi Barcelona's collection of sunglasses represents 34 percent of sales. The company's Lab Collection, which was launched in 2017, already represents 23 percent of total sales. Gigi Barcelona recorded total sales of €3.5 million in 2017 and expects to increase its total sales to more than €7 million at the end of this year. The brand's net income was €1.46 million in 2016 and €3.13 million in 2017. It is expected to reach €6 million in 2018. This year, Gigi Barcelona both launched a new website and presented its first eyewear collection for men. It plans to open a store in Barcelona over the course of the next year or at the beginning of 2020.
