Giuseppe Servidori, who acted as vice president and general manager of Oakley Europe, based in France, is leaving Luxottica to join the top management of Bialetti, an Italian producer of kitchen accessories. Before moving to Oakley while it was still an independent firm, the Italian manager was a vice president of Luxottica America, where he played a key role in the acquisition of Lenscrafters and Ray-Ban. Officials close to Luxottica report that Servidori declined an offer to go back to the USA to take care of one of Luxottica's divisions. Oakley's European sales are now steered out of Switzerland.
