Gold & Wood is innovating in product development and marketing by launching its first B2C online crowdfunding campaign in association with Born.com. The Luxembourg-based producer of high-end, handcrafted glasses is inviting customers and friends to become its ambassadors. They will be rewarded with a free pair of sunglasses if they convince others to buy a pair at a 50 percent discount, using an online store locator. The goal of this global campaign is to sell a limited edition of 200 pieces of a Born Essential model of sunglasses developed by Gold & Wood, which won the Born Ultimate Award in 2014 for its Copa style. Born.com is an international crowdfunding platform that allows creative companies to tell their story, to showcase their products and to fund new creative projects.
