GrandVision has announced Willem Eelman is to be its future chief financial officer. He will replace Paulo de Castro, who has resigned from this role after seven years to pursue another career opportunity. Eelman is the former chief financial officer and chief operations transformation officer of C&A Europe. Prior to C&A, he held senior positions at Unilever, including chief financial officer Europe and chief information officer. Eelman's appointment will be proposed to GrandVision's shareholders at an extraordinary shareholder meeting on May 15, the company said. Eelman has been a member of GrandVision's supervisory board and chairman of the audit committee since 2011. He has already stepped down from GrandVision's supervisory board, and the company has started a process to appoint a new independent non-executive director and chairman of the audit committee.
