Gunnar Optiks has appointed Scott Sorensen as president of the brand. He will be responsible for the operations, sales and marketing of the California-based specialist in computer and gaming eyewear. He takes over the role from Rob Jafek, interim chief executive, who took the helm in November 2014. Sorensen has 22 years of experience of senior executive roles in the eyewear industry. His career began in 1993, when he was a start-up member of the Dragon Alliance. At Dragon he was responsible for the brand positioning and marketing strategies that built the company. In 2008, he left Dragon to join FGX International, where he managed the Anarchy, Angel, Body Glove, Gargoyles, and Rawlings brands.
