Hilco Vision has announced the acquisition of LBI's cases and accessories division. Hilco said in its statement that Chett Lehrer, the former owner, will remain in place, and that LBI's cases and accessories division operations, currently located in Las Vegas, will also remain where they are, to ensure continuity for the future. LBI has been a family owned and operated business since its creation, in 1949. For the next few months, the two companies will operate independently, with LBI continuing to support sales and service.

Hilco Vision's portfolio is concentrated on five primary product categories, professional tools, vision protection, consumer accessories, lens care and eyecare. The company said the consumer accessories category is an increasingly important one for Hilco. The acquisition will allow the company to expand its reach and will help simplify the buying experience for its customers. Hilco Vision has subsidiaries in the U.S., Canada, Germany, U.K., Benelux, Australia, New Zealand, China and Hong Kong.
