IVKO, the German eyewear manufacturer, will design, manufacture and distribute a luxury eyewear collection under the Maybach brand name through a licensing deal with Daimler AG, the owner of that exclusive car brand as well as Mercedes-Benz. Eight models of sunglasses and 10 styles of ophthalmic frames will make their debut at the end of October. The glasses will be made from wood, leather, natural horn, titanium, carbon fiber and 18-karat gold. Zeiss will make the lenses for the sunglasses. The Maybach collection will also have a line available for customization and special requests.
