Jim Eisen has been promoted from chief operation officer of Eye Care Centers of America (ECCA) to president of the U.S. chain of 438 optical retail stores. He takes the position from David Holmberg, who will continue in his roles as chairman and chief executive of ECCA as well as president and CEO of HVHC, the parent company. Eisen has been with ECCA since June 2008; his previous positions include vice president for store operations for the licensed brands operations of Luxottica Retail. ECCA has also named Jeff Smith to be executive vice president and chief medical officer, a new position. He was most recently executive vice president of another U.S. chain, For Eyes Optical, and has also worked with Luxottica Retail, Pearle Vision and Cole Managed Vision.
