Johnson & Johnson Vision Care has announced a voluntary recall of 1-Day Acuvue TruEye contact lenses that were made in Ireland and sold in several countries in Europe and Asia, especially Japan. The recall was initiated after some wearers complained of eye irritation. The lenses are the kind made with narafilcon A; in other markets, including the U.S., they are manufactured with narafilcon B and have posed no problems. Johnson & Johnson will replace any contact lenses with the affected lot numbers.
