L'Amy America has signed a license agreement with Ann Taylor, a well-known brand of women's apparel in the U.S., for its first-ever collection of sunglasses, prescription frames, high-end readers and watches. The Ann Taylor lines will be distributed first in the U.S. and Canada, but TWC-L'Amy may help the brand to become more international at a later stage. The brand is big – it already generates annual sales of more than $2 billion – but it is present for the most part only in the U.S. In its first move at the retail level outside its domestic market, Ann Taylor opened its first two stores in Canada, in Toronto, last May.
