Lightbird, a new Italian eyewear brand created by the designer Corrado Rosson in Belluno, Italy, will be launching its first line at the Opti 2019 trade show in Munich on Jan. 25-27. Manufactured entirely in Italy, Lightbird eyewear makes use of two patents. One is for a system called Light_nest, which links the supply chain with opticians by means of an app and a QR code on the temple tip of each frame. The other is for a frame material called Light_matter, which binds a light aluminum alloy with Italian acetate. Light_matter is also the name of the brand's first collection, which consists of 13 prescription models and two pairs of sunglasses.
