Lynx Optique, one of the French optical retail chains owned by Guildinvest, will stop franchising its format and become a cooperative like Krys and other banners owned by the same group. This is because the conditions required to become a Lynx franchisee are regarded as being too onerous. Only 20 retailers have agreed to join the Lynx group since its acquisition by Guildinvest a few years ago. The new cooperative structure is expected to increase the number of doors from 120 to 200 within the next five years.
