Marchon has appointed Tony Klijn, a Dutch executive coming from Luxottica, as managing director of Marchon Germany, responsible also for the Austrian market. The position had remained vacant for about four months following the move of Micha Siebenhandl to the U.S., where he was named vice president of global house brands. Klijn will report directly to Nicola Zotta, vice president and managing director of Marchon for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. Klijn has been in the optical industry for 20 years. Most recently, he has been Luxottica's country manager for South Africa. Prior to that, he had run Luxottica's German sales subsidiary.
