Maria Giovanna Zandegiacomo Seidelucio, the widow of Giovanni Coffen Marcolin, the founder of Marcolin, passed away on Oct. 7 at the age of 87. Her husband had died in 2013. She is survived by her children Monica, Cirillo and Maurizio. Cirillo Marcolin was president of the association of Italian eyewear manufacturers, Anfao, and is currently president of Confindustria Moda, the umbrella organization of the Italian fashion industry.
Zandegiacomo lived in Vallesella di Cadore, where in 1967 was opened the first Marcolin site, which was then transfered in 1988 to Longarone. In 2012, Marcolin was taken over by the private equity PAI Partners through the company Cristallo, in which the Marcolin family bought a minority stake.
