Mark Simo, a co-founder of Orange 21 and the chief executive of No Fear, resigned from the board of directors of Orange 21 last month, citing several disagreements with the company. He and Orange 21 had a dispute over how much he was paid as CEO from October 2006 to September 2008. He also took issue with the company's business plan and recent activities, including its refusal to merge with No Fear Retail Stores. No Fear owns 12.8 percent of Orange 21's stock, Simo owns 1.6 percent and his brother, Brian Simo, owns 1.1 percent. Brian Simo is No Fear's president. Orange 21 and its board dispute all of Simo's allegations.
